    Robert "Joey" Ditsch, age 33, of Romulus, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020. Joey was born June 22, 1987 in Dearborn, Michigan. He was the son of Fritz Ditsch and Patricia (Holliday) Ditsch..

    To cherish his memory he leaves his mother; Patricia Ditsch. sister; Linda (Daniel) Chapman, his niece; Jordan Ditsch, and his nephew; Michael McPherson.

    Joey was preceded in death by his father; Fritz and his brother; David Ditsch..

    A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Romulus Cemetery at 1:00pm.

    One of the brightest minds I've had the pleasure of working with. Robert had a great personality characterized by his awesome shirts and silly hats. He made everyone he met smile. Robert, you will truly be missed. Rest easy brother.

    Joey was like a brother and a son and a friend to me. When I married Kelly, it was like I got two brothers and two gaming buddies, Joey and I were inseparable at so many gaming events. People just assumed that we were brothers because we went everywhere together. Kelly and I were helping him out for the last decade or so, and we were so proud of the ways in which he was stretching his wings. He was also so thoughtful, he was diligent, he was intelligent. It was no surprise that he excelled at his job, he was always the right sort of person you want. And he was also kind, he was not afraid of showing delight at things that were adorable, he would get angry at injustices. He had grown to be a man to be proud of.

    I am a member of Joey's Star Wars group, and will miss the man's tales. Joey was our Game Master, through his words and the game system to take us all to worlds we would never see otherwise, and became the heroes we all wished we were. I'll never forget Joey, and miss him.
