Mike was a good guy! He will be missed! John 5:28. Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out.

I am saddened to hear of Mike’s passing. He was truly one of the nicest men I have ever met. We worked together when I was on special assignment in the Continuous Improvement group at DTE when my significant other was dying with pancreatic cancer. Mike’s compassion and caring was a godsend. His devotion and love for his family was very apparent, as he cherished them all and always spoke of what they had done together or planned to do. My heart goes out to his family at this difficult time. Please know that your husband, son, father, brother was loved and cherished by many. Respectfully,

Mike was a great guy and one I'm glad of having known. I got to know Mike better when we did volunteer work at St. Christine's soup kitchen a year ago. I was impressed by his generosity, caring and willingness to help, he will be greatly missed by many.

Dear Baum Family; I am so very sorry to hear about the sudden passing of Mike. We completed our MBA program together. I will remember his dry sense of humor, especially in light of the stress of the program, and his brilliant plan on one of the class projects. I think it blew the professor out of the water, even though he wouldn't let it show. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. May all your happiest memories carry you through the darkest hours. God Bless, Tammy

I had the extreme pleasure of working with Mike. Mike was a true leader, and a man of his word. He approached every decision with the ability to break down the issue, looking at the perspectives of those involved. I will miss working with Mike. My thoughts and prayers to the Baum family.

I didn't get the opportunity to get to know, or work closely with Mike here at DTE, but a group of us did go to lunch last year following a morning meeting, and I got to know at least a little about him over lunch. I just want to send my sincere condolences to Mike's family, friends, and close colleagues.
