Aubrey Simons

Aubrey "Len" Leonard Simons, age 89, of Romulus, Michigan, passed away on March 14, 2021. Aubrey was born on March 11, 1932, dear son of Leonard John Simons and Olive Irene (McClure) Simons.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 65 years; Clara Simons, four children; Gwen (Jeff) Harper, Erin (Ron) Rice, Daria (Ryan) Abrahams and Aric Simons, seven grandchildren; Heather, Nathan, Christine, Corie, Kyle, Jesse and Andrew, and three great grandchildren.

Aubrey is preceded in death by his parents; Leonard John Simons and Olive Irene Simons and one great grandchild.

Leonard enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and camping. He was a proud patriot and honorably served his country in the US Army. His family will remember him fondly telling them to, "have faith but do plow". They will find comfort in his most frequently used phrase, "onward and upward".

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 11:30am to 1:00pm with the funeral service starting at 1:00pm, at Fairlane Alliance Church, located at 905 Mason St., Dearborn, Michigan 48124. Interment will take place at Michigan Memorial Park.
